Matapari Farm is a 120 hectare grazing property located on the banks of the Rakaia River, just 12 minutes from Methven.
Millions of years in the making, our unique location has an abundant ecosystem providing a sanctuary for birdlife, little animals, big animals and adventure loving humans.
A PLACE OF SIGNIFICANCE.
Before we came along, our wee shed was the home to the farmer’s trusty jet boat. But after some 60+ years, it was time to give the old girl a makeover and breathe some life into her tired steely bones.
She might be old, not exactly straight… and even a bit rattly in the Nor’ Wester, but she is one awesome wee shed.
Unfortunately the jet boat no longer resides here, but in memory of the awesome family times spent on the water (and on the shingle), we named her...
